If youre unsure about whether a weapons is reload or overheat, find them on the exhibition and see how they behave when firing, based on the 2 points above, or see what equipment people generally use with them. They are affected by radiators and coolers, and also specific cabins (like Favorite). Once it reaches the top, they need to wait until the indicator goes down, in order to cool down. Overheat type weapons can keep firing which continously increases their heating level at the little indicator in the bottom. They are affected only by reload boosting modules (Discharger and Flywheel) or specific cabins (like Deadman, Echo, Hadron). Reload type weapons fire, then they have to wait for the indicator at the bottom to charge up so they can fire again. There are also multiple game types, such as team deathmatch base capture. Crossout is a vehicle combat game where people can fight against AIs in single player mode or against other people in PVP mode. I wish crossout would do a better job at explaining this ingame One of the games biggest strengths is the wide degree of customization offered.

Mixing weapons is rarely recommended because you're best off focusing your main damage output to be one type of damage/range, instead of doing a little bit of everything.Ĭoolers do not affect missiles, as theyre reload type. In raids however, you'll most likely get less points than someone who was using these MGs or Shotties simply because of their flexibility on switching targets as soon as theyre destroyed, and not having to wait for long reloads on a shot that might deal more damage than needed. Fast-firing machineguns and shotguns take down these small AI enemies faster in comparason, but at the end of the day its PvE and almost anything works. Missiles have long reload times / take time to detonate based on which ones youre using, and essentially every shot is gonna take out one raider then you'll have to wait to reload. The thing about PVE is you'll face a bunch of tiny enemies.
